Kamloops Market Update

As we move into the second month of 2017, real estate sales in Kamloops in January were higher in 2017 than at this time last year, with 133 residential properties sold to date vs. 126 in 2016. The number of new residential listings is lower than at the same as last year with 278 homes on the market vs. 343 last year at this time. There were 1,78 listings active, in comparison to 1,427 last year at this time. Of the 133 units sold last month, 99 were sold in Kamloops.

The median price for homes sold in Kamloops in continuing was $379,500 while the median for Kamloops and District was $358,000. These figures compare to $418,000 in December in the city vs. $403,000, while the rest were higher.

Nearly 60% of the homes that sold in January sold in 10 areas:
