Welcome to our September 2017 newsletter, your source for market updates and news about the Kamloops real estate market.
My grandson Ashton took control of our recent encounter with an F&O Officer & had them all mesmerized within 30 seconds.
As we move into the eighth month of 2017, real estate sales in Kamloops in July were higher in 2017 than at this time last year, with 2,004 residential properties sold to date vs. 1915 in 2016. The number of new residential listings is lower than at the same as last year with 3,009 homes on the market vs. 3,395 last year at this time. There were 1,294 listings active, in comparison to 1,816 last year at this time. Of 336units sold last month, 266 were sold in Kamloops.
The median price for homes sold in Kamloops in continuing was $420,000 while the median for Kamloops and District was $400,000. These figures compare to $430,000 in May in the city vs. $412,000, while the rest were higher.
Nearly 61% of the homes that sold in August sold in 5 areas:
“Love recognizes no barriers. It jumps hurdles, leaps fences, penetrates walls to arrive at its destination full of hope.” Maya Angelou
Buyers Tim & Bev Doyle recently sold and bought a home in the area. Here is what they had to say about working with the Platinum Real Estate Team:
“Eric met with us a month in advance of our home being listed and laid out a strategic plan for our success in achieving a top dollar sale! Eric listened to our ideas and concerns and was flexible in incorporating them into his overall plan. Eric’s focus on having our home properly prepared prior to having his professional photographer over really helped separate us from our competition. Eric told us that prospective buyer’s first impression of our home would be made on-line and our home looked absolutely amazing on his website! We worked as a team and the work paid off as we sold our home in 36 hours for more than our asking price! We highly recommend Eric!!
